Thrifty Thursday

It's Thrifty Thursday at Bloggeritaville!!! What better "thrifty" can there be than free? When I was in Utah, I had the joy of shuffling through some of my mothers old collections and choosing some treasures to keep for myself. I have mentioned before that my mom is an avid collector. Well,...that doesn't even begin to describe the magnitude of her collections. Fortunately for myself and Wendy, our mom was in the mood to gift us with a few vintage remembrances from our trip.

The lovely cameos. I wish this picture was in better focus because they are all so unusual, and the photo does them no justice.

This ring is a locket. Do we see a pattern with me and ring/lockets developing here?

This old blue "Ball" mason jar that I stole right out of her breakfast nook is filled with vintage buttons from my moms unbelievable button collection.

Some of the buttons still set anchored to their original home on an old card stock. I just love it!!! And, one old spool of silk thread................. sigh...........................Thanks Mom!!!

Ohhhhhh(wiping the drolll off my keyboard)I am so envious of your treasures! I have a weakness for cameos. And those buttons on the card stock and in the mason jar. Be still my heart! What great thrifty treasures you have shared today! Thanks for linking up, my friend!
Hugs!

Nothing better than free treasures. I have a weakness for vintage buttons, especially the ones that are still on the original cards. Your cameos look beautiful. What a nice mom to give up some of her collection!

How lucky can one girl be! I'd say you hit the motherload! No pun intended!

So nice of your mom to share her treasures, they're ALL amazing.

Happy Thrifty Thursday!

What is it with buttons that attract us so much? And it is wonderful that you got that great jar as their home to display.
Thanks for sharing!
Living it up at Lakewood,

What a beautiful set of treasures :) I love it. However, I read down the page a bit and read that you had visited with your sister after 3 years apart - oh goodness, that must have felt so good. I live 1300 miles from both of my sisters and I miss them every day.
