Blue Toile

I have been searching for some time (that was not a pun, but it was pretty good, huh?) I think I'll start over. For quite some time now I have been searching for the perfect clock for my upstairs bathroom. I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't exist. So,...I had to make one.

Super, super easy, inexpensive project. I bought a $3-ish dollar clock at Walmart. I rounded up some tissue that I already had, a paint brush, and my Mod Podge.

Mod Podged the tissue to the clock. When it dried I went over it with a very thin coat of clear lacquer so that it would not be tacky.

Here she is.............

all done...........

and blue............

and toile...................

and beautiful!!

Go make some time (he he he) to be crafty!!

I am going to link this to Frugal Friday at the Shabby Nest.

How on earth did you put flat tissue paper on a round clock without cutting it into a million pieces?? It looks stunning!

Are you joking me!!! You are incredible! I never would have thought of that. Too cool! I miss you soo much! I went to dinner last night at Cheesecake Factory for Kodi's baby shower... and I just missed you so much! The night was so missing that "Holly element". By the way, that camera story, too funny!

You did an amazing job on that! Thanks too for sharing where you bought the clock. I would have searched for years at Goodwill when I can get one at WM for probably the same price!
