Irony

My mom used to wear dresses similar to these ones. I vaguely recall looking through photographs of her when I was younger and making a certain amount of fun of her and "her clothing choices during her young married life". In fact I remember having quite a few really good belly laughs at her expense. (Thanks for always being such a good sport mom.) Come to find out later that she had been quite the fashion diva. Well,...recently I was at Target and guess what they had??? Some similar little sun-dresses made of a textured polyester very reminiscent of the 60's. Guess what I was admiring??....in fact I really liked them. Serves me right, eh?? :) If they weren't too immodest for my particular taste, comfort zone,...religion...:):),...I may have ended up coming home with one of them. Time is a funny, funny thing isn't it!!?!! Taste as well.
I love this one. It has a very Jackie O feel to me.

And this one feels so Audrey Hepburn. Who doesn't want to be Audrey for a day??
This one,...I just adore.....................sigh!

Yep - - - the clothes we laugh at and say we'd NEVER WEAR are just the ones that come back and we not only wear them, but we have to eat our words!!!

Seriously love that last one. I could take that one and be a very happy girl.

Because at some point in our lives we come to our senses and realize that comfort truly is more important than style. But sometimes you can be both....like with these dresses! The only one I wouldn't wear is the brownish/orangish horizonal stripe-ish one with short sleeves.

They are gorgeous dresses! I especially love the black dress. Beautiful!!! We come full circle don't we? I made fun of my mother for clothes she wears, and yet, here they are again ;)

Great dresses! I heart Target! I also laughed about my mom's "younger" wardrobe and now find lost of it very stylish
