Must have input.............

I know that every body's tastes change.............

it's a fact,...............it happens.

But lately I wonder how many personalities I may have because mine change so rapidly. Am I fickle, am I trendy, or am I just bored??

The piece of hardware above was just on a random door on a random store in Gardener Village. (In Salt Lake City Utah,.......................my favorite place.) The hardware is so old and classic. I can't imagine any one of my personalities growing tired of old classic things.

This crazy dresser, on the other hand, I made about 10 years ago. I still love all things whimsical,...but I am so over this dresser.

And,...it is so over itself.

One of the drawers has fallen out and I can't even put it back in (literally.)

So, here lies my dilemma..........what do I replace it with?? I would love to get an unfinished dresser and decoupage it with neutral toile and damask papers. I have looked all over the web at unfinished furniture and I can't find much of a selection. Am I looking in the wrong places??

Or, do I replace it with a "Bombay chest"? One of the rustic looking ones in ivory and celery colors. I don't really want to spend too much on it, but on the other hand I always end up with broken furniture,...so do I just bite the bullet and buy a nice piece that may actually survive my children for more than a few years?

I would just go with out one, but this piece earned the nickname 'crazy art dresser' because it does in fact hold all of my paints, brushes, watercolor paper, pastels, and I have even managed to stuff a few small canvases in it.

So you see...

I do think that replacing it is warranted,...

because in the long run it will be cheaper than the therapy I will need if I don't have my art as an outlet.

Anything can be rationalized if you try hard enough, right??

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dreaming of a White Christmas......................

Crowns, Toile, and Newsprint,...Oh my!!!

Shame On Me! Shame on me for not posting for 15 days,...especially when I promised my little blog that I would be more conscientious about posting often. OOPS!

Moving on,...it happens to be Frugal Friday over at the Shabby Nest and I thought I would share a little project. I decoupaged a container so that I could use it as Christmas gift wrap and it turned out so cute that I think I may just have to keep it.

(Along with many other things which I have no need of or use for, and have no idea where to put.:))

I started out with this left over canister from some Harry and Davids chocolates that I bought from Costco....

and ate all of (not by myself.)

Well,....sort of by myself.;)

I found this fabulous crown paper at the Graphics Fairy and printed some out. Don't you just love the Graphics Fairy!!??

I used some leftover Toile wrapping paper for the lid.

Decoupaged it all on to the container.

Used my new "Stampin Up- Big Shot" to cut out these flowers. I am a terrible person who would tear the pages out of an old yellowed vintage book to use in a project. But,...in my own defense the book is in very bad shape and I use it for many projects rather then destroying multiple books.:)

Crumpled the flowers really well, stacked them, and fastened them with a brad. Then glued the one big posy that they made to the top of the lid.

It will make such fabulous gift wrap, don't ya think?

Welcome Thanksgiving
